Danielle Light, MHS, PA (ASCP)
Danielle Light joined Eastern Connecticut Pathology Consultants in 2011 and in addition to her clinical responsibilities she provides substantial administrative oversight to ECPC’s daily practice operations. She is responsible for coordinating the flow and distribution of specimens coming through the lab and works directly with clinical lab departments to ensure proper performance of all required tests.
She is the primary prosector of specimens – complex cancer cases, intraoperative examinations, flow cytometry and kidney adequacy evaluation to name a few. She manages the onboarding and training of new technical staff, facilitates the rotation of medical students and residents through the anatomic and clinical pathology departments, and makes sure histology operations are running smoothly.
Danielle is in charge of all practice scheduling, ensuring appropriate MD, PA and tech coverage across ECPC’s hospital, lab and client sites. She maintains all Peer Review, CAP Synoptic table updates, IHC/billing and QA/QI reports, and organizes & submits CAP proficiency testing and education maintenance.
Danielle graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Master of Health Science degree as a Pathologists’ Assistant and she is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
